March Round up
At the start of March, I was searching for a fabric that carries a medium weight, has a nice drape, a soft-touch and is good for printing.
Below are the swatches I ordered before sampling started:
1). Slub Jersey - 200 GSM
2). 100% Cotton Jersey - 210 GSM
3). Black rib 1x1 - 200 GSM
On 19th March I travelled to Nottingham to visit a new printer. I met with Adam & Paul at October Textiles. We discussed the new designs (the reborn and beta t-shirts) and why fewer colours in your artwork works better than having 8/9 different colours. I took this onboard and I revised my designs down to 1/2 colours. We also went over the meaning behind the t-shirts, how I came up with the designs and how I was going to market this drop to my audience and the wider market. This meeting was really insightful about how different printers work. October Textiles have worked with some of the UK's leading brands.
I sent out a poll on the INSBRDNT Instagram asking our customers what they wanted to see next. The answer was they wanted an essential range, see below for the templates:
I am currently at the stage of sourcing the right fabrics for the essential range and am hoping to release 2 essential tracksuits and 3 essential t-shirts in the next coming months. Once production has started, images will follow via our socials.
